Haiti continues to face significant challenges that have persisted over time, despite ongoing efforts to improve the situation. The country experiences political instability, economic struggles, and has not fully recovered from the natural disasters that have rocked it in the past. While some gains have been made in different areas, there is still a long way to go to get to where the country should be. Unfortunately, many Haitians still grapple with the harsh effects of poverty, including limited access to services necessary for survival. Moreover, with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the country’s economic and social dynamics took a nosedive, which worsened the already tenuous situation. Although there are ongoing efforts to rebuild and strengthen the country, the path towards stability and progress is still uncertain and filled with many obstacles that must be overcome.
